Christopher Hitchens, 1949-2011

The loss of Hitchens is felt in a strangely personal way by freethinkers the world over, including many of us here in Greensboro, North Carolina. For all that he has inspired, for his brilliance and passion, for his fierce eloquence, we raise our glasses to Hitch one last time...

  1. Hitchens died an alcoholic, terrified at the very thought of experiencing reality without the crutch of mood altering chemicals coursing through his veins. Drunks around the world salute him.

At least no one was stupid enough to say R.I.P.

  2. Yay for all the Christians that will try to somehow use him as an example. Either of someone dying "without knowing where they would spend eternity" or of someone with poor life choices. @Thesauros, so I suppose there has never been an alcoholic Christian? hahahaha. WTC?
